OlegV Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 Looks like good conditions on Monday: very cold and clear. I am up to some interesting climb on Hood: NF, Sandy Headwall. Anyone interested? Quote
sketchfest Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 If you are going to try the NF, be prepared for a rough road. we only made it 5.7mi before the snow got to deep. The snow was soft and easy to drive through, but it just got to deep...snow splashing up over the hood, just like in the commercials Quote
OlegV Posted January 9, 2005 Author Posted January 9, 2005 I would hike Cloud Cap ski trail instead of driving (2.5 hours to Eliot). If you climbed NF, how were route conditions? Quote
sketchfest Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 (edited) we were looking for ice, but the snow conditions that we found varied from a couple of inches to knee deep fluff. I wouldn't think that the current conditions would be very ideal for a NF attempt. Edited January 9, 2005 by sketchfest Quote
