chelle Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 Did this hike on Friday with a couple other fun cc.comer's. About half way up we got to the snow and slogged our way through 2-6" of freshies to get up to the ridge below the scramble. Since we didn't have a rope we decided to wait on the scramble until spring, as one slip appeared to lead to the quick exit down the peak. This was a fun hike and will make a good scramble when the summit rock pyramid is dry. Check it out. Quote
Toast Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 Yep, it's an overlooked gem come springtime, steep snow, rock finish, lots of exposure, good views, easy access. You can't ask for much more, but as Chelle mentions, don't fall. http://sverdina.com/mcclellans_butte/mcbutte1.htm Quote
