Trip Report:

Does anyone have experience getting in to Mt. Adams in December. I'm going to be out there the week-end of Dec. 11 and would really like to get on the mountain. I know that you don't want to drive up to the campground since you might end up leaving the car for the winter, but is there anywhere you can park lower down and hike in?

Sure... but it's a good four or five mile slog.

Drive until the road is blocked. There's usually a place to park.

and make sure you are not parked in the middle of the road. the county mounties like to tow people even when the road is blocked.
