Jim Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 And my reply is "Screw You". I actually gave this guy the benefit of the doubt after he beat Gore. He was saying all the moderate talking points. Didn't seem too bright but maybe he would walk a moderate line. Then he filled his agency positions with industry hacks and used every slimy trick to skirt existing environmental laws, ignored or changed scientific findings, and lined the pockets of the upper income suits. I even paused after 9-11 thinking that maybe, just maybe, this was a pivotal event for the man, that he might grow and mature into the postion. Well, about as much as a turnip. So my advice is be depressed for a day or so, discuss it with friends over a beer, go for a good run, bike, ski, climb or have a good screw, clear your head and resolve to fight these brown shirts for the next four years. Moral values my ass. These guys are bankrupt. An appropriate quote from Ed: Meanwhile a final homily: Let's keep our bodies strong and enjoy the world. Eat more crunch granola. Climb those mountains, run those rivers, explore those forests, investigate those deserts, love the sun and the moon and the stars and we will outlive our enemies, we will piss on their graves, and we will love and nurture and who knows- even marry their children. Turn on, tune in, take over. Let keep our minds, our senses, and our common sense strong also. Who's in charge here? We're all in chage: every man his on guru, every woman her own gurette. What is our program? Earth first, life first; power and profits and domination last. Down with Empire! Up with Spring! We stand for what we stand on. I thank you partners. Quote
