foraker Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Looking for recommendations for a good local (Seattle area) alpine ski shop. The wife and I are looking to buy our own boots for the first time. Don't mind paying more than, say, online as long as we get good fits, good gear, and get straight talking people. Preferably Eastside but that's not a hard and fast requirement. Quote
Crackbolter Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 If Martin Rand is still at Study's, use his expertise in boot fitting and you will have used the best in the business. If not, I might suggest Pro-Ski. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 sturtevant's doesn't offer very many deals, but what they do offer is good boot fitting. and if they f**k up they'll do what they can to fix the problem. martin is still there as far as i know. and nobody there gets commission - they are all about service (it is the east side after all) and they know that a happy customer will not only return but spread the word. Figger_Eight Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Another vote for Sturtevant's on the Eastside. We had a good experience there last month getting the girlie her new boots. Knowledgeable and professional service. Quote
