catbirdseat
Jim, how do you expect me to reply to your PM if you are not accepting PM's and you don't have an e-mail address listed? If you see this, I'll get there between 7:30 and 8 and climb till they close.
Jim
Duh! Sorry about that. I usually accepted emails but had turned it off for a while as some wingnut kept sending me some obnoxius items. Another time maybe.
ashw_justin
Are the "5.10's" as hard as the "V3's" at Stone Gardens? Or is cbs just all power dynos and contact strength?
catbirdseat
Are the "5.10's" as hard as the "V3's" at Stone Gardens? Or is cbs just all power dynos and contact strength? I can only do one or two V3's. I'm weak.
ashw_justin
V3 correlates to 5.11+, no? Perhaps not at SG? Or maybe your are a 5.11 climber without realizing? http://www.rockclimbing.com/articles/index.php?id=179 http://www.bouldering.com/bouldering_ratingsconversion_cha.htm
catbirdseat
In fact, I did get up a 5.11 that evening. I haven't tried many. I have this quaint notion that I should be able to do any 5.10 first, but that I'm learning is dumb. There are plenty of V2's I can't do, yet I try the V3's. So I plan to try some more 5.11's and see what happens.
ashw_justin
There's nothing like 5.11 to make the 5.10's feel easier... (edit: but maybe I say that only because I can't climb 5.12... ) Edited September 18, 2004 by ashw_justin
