PM me if you want directions In honor of the 28th Olympiad in Athens, Greece we thought it appropriate to unveil, for your enjoyment… not the summer, nor the winter but The 1st annual Fall Games Labor Day weekend, September 3 – 6, 2004 Rain or Shine At the ____, Douglas Island, Alaska. Ten events testing everything from agility to endurance to strength to stupidity will be played throughout the weekend. Alcohol & Food & Prizes will be provided, but as always more is welcome, bring something for grill or a dish or jug to pass around. Please park at ____ Beach, camping gear is highly recommended. The _____ is 0.0 miles from _____ Beach by trail. Kids are always welcome, but contrary to usual _______ practice, leave your guns at home. We are expecting a good turnout, be advised that all dogfights will be ended with an axe handle. Official Sanctioned Events: The Marquee Bucket Lid Golf Tourney, $5 entry, top five finishers win $. Old-fashioned Sack Races. That’s right, running in burlap shoes. Standing Long Jump. Always a favorite. MT Can Soccer. Similar to air hockey, minus the air and hockey. Marksmanship. A Fall Lode tradition. 10 meter air rifle (provided) Stump Chuck. Send ‘em flying, for distance and accuracy. Obstacle Course. Crossing all boundaries of sense and good taste. The Mystery Event. Merely by showing up, one is enlightened. The Mighty Keg toss. Standing in landing zone not recommended. Football throw, at targets. Is the next Favre living in Juneau? Unoffical Events: Individual & Team drinking, Firewood gathering, Drunken carpentry, Fornication, Falling Down Friday September 3 – official start of the Fall Games, lighting of the Game Torch, final Games committee meet & set-up Saturday September 4 – All day grille, American BBQ (beans, burgers and dogs) Qualifying rounds of bucket lid golf, all day foursomes MT can soccer matches – all day Marksman ship qualifiers & final – high noon Obstacle Course Finals – 3 pm Stump Chuck Finals – 6 pm Sunday September 5 – All Day feasting, Southeast Alaskan fare (kill and grill) Sack Races – 10 am, qualifying & final heats Foot ball Throw – 2 pm Bucket Lid Golf qualifying rounds to be completed by 3 pm Final Lid Golf Round – top 8 qualifiers compete, 4 pm 2 jumps (total distance) by 3 pm, Tiebreakers if needed at 3 pm The mighty Keg toss – 7pm??? Points tabulation – Final Awards Ceremony at Tinner’s Tiny Tavern 8pm Big Fire, Bacchanalian Debauchery – Dark til dawn Monday September 6 – Cleanup, hangover day
