layton Posted August 15, 2004 Posted August 15, 2004 if you are planning a trip to the bugs, be warned that the col is falling apart. We had a couple VERY close calls that would have killed us. Lots of HUGE rockslides on bugaboo and snowpatch. the mountains are falling apart. be careful. That being said, the rockclimbing is enjoyable, the views are amazing, and most of all the people (about 1/2) are awesome. and beautiful girls too. maybe I'll post some pics when I can afford to develop my film. Thanks to all who made the trip memorable. Quote
dberdinka Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 So what's up with the rockfall? There is mention of it in the Mclain Guide as well. Climate change? resulting in the melting of ice or expansion of rock or something? Any particular routes get decimated? Quote
layton Posted August 16, 2004 Author Posted August 16, 2004 I wouldn't be climbing on the walls facing applebee camp on Bugaboo or Snowpatch anytime soon. Booom! Quote
