AaronB Posted August 17, 2004 Share Posted August 17, 2004 Yeah the Benchmark has about the same selection as REI, But the customer service sucks. So I try to avoid them unless I absolutely have to. A lot must have changed in the past few years, for them to have worse cust. service than R E I. And they had a great selection compared to REI "Makalu" ..but hey, I guess you could hit up TARGET on your way out from REI. And then grab an Italian Soda at Starbucks. Mmmnnn Strip Malls.. 1 option I've had to do because of size issues, is to order a few pairs of boots shipped to a REI store "free shipping" and tried them on in the store. If I don't like them, I don't buy them. Order some more.. Just because the Boise REI doesn't have a selection doesn't mean they don't have it at another store or wharehouse.
