making holds - anybody have a rock drill?

I want to put a few small granite rocks on my home wall. A guy at Home Depot recommeded I use a hammer drill and special hammer bit or diamond bit. Is there anyone who has this stuff, and would let me use it? I can go and buy my own bit, but I don't think I need to own my own hammer drill...

A regular masonry bit would most likely work, but it would be a lot slower.

Home Depot will rent you a 110 volt rotohammer for a reasonabe price.

Might as well get a milk crate full of rock and go to town for a couple hours.

My pop and I made about 50 granite, mixed river rock and basalt holds for around 20 bucks.

I have never made them this way, but it seems like a pretty cool way to make holds...

this french guy named fred rouhling is really good at making holds on his 14d's you should send him an email

If you want to buy a bit, you can come over and use my dewalt hammer drill. I have drilled holes in concrete with it but dont have any bits right now. I live in seattle.
