Climb: Kyes Peak-south ridge

Trip Report:

The views are awesome, but the ridge has several sections where I had to scramble around on loose scree.

 

The summit block scramble is sort of scary, and downclimbing it is really scary! Then again, I'm an alpine gumby.

No snow until nearing the summit.

In that photo of tracks in the snow, they are obviously goat tracks. You can see the dual hoof marks.

good tr, that's a fun outing. for repeats, consider the blanca lake/columbia glacier route; we ascended that way and descended your route, and i preferred the former. scenic country and peak!
