Boarded down misreable SW Chutes. Got home late, didn't call gf early enough. Got in trouble. Sounds familiar, I have been there with my wife. My solution was finally to say that I would not call unless it was an emergency. That started this past weekend and I think it is a good solution. I am just too tired of taking flak for having no reception, batteries, or just plain old forgetfulness! Quote

Drederek Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Once you've called once to reassure you're screwed. You need to set the bar very low. So when you do screw up and call you'll be a hero! Quote
Figger_Eight Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 just tell the significant other not to worry until the day after your planned return. I second that. Unless she's one of those super needy types. Then break up with her. Quote
