MollyWorld Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 I'll be in Seattle for a month. What are some good gyms or bouldering spots? Quote
slothrop Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 Yep. Vertical World is the other one, it has more top-rope and lead routes, but SG has better bouldering. Quote
MollyWorld Posted June 14, 2004 Author Posted June 14, 2004 Well, I didn't know. Is there public transportation to them? Quote
Figger_Eight Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 probably easier to get to Stone Gardens on the bus, but yes - there's public transportation to them. Quote
slothrop Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 There's definitely a bus line that goes right in front of SG, dunno about Vertical World. VW is near the Fishermen's Terminal, so if you can hop a bus there, you're within short walking distance. Check out bus lines here: http://transit.metrokc.gov/ If you go to SG, just ask around and I'm sure you'll meet someone who will take you bouldering. Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 Also for outdoor free boldering there is the UW Rock. It's between the stadium and the Ship Canal. Ignore the signs, the general public has been climbing there for 30 years. Bus #43, 44 and 25 to mame a few. For Stone Gardens bus #44 or 17 Quote
