Guest Posted March 24, 2001 Posted March 24, 2001 There is a new guidebook that is virtually finished and will be released when the guidebook authors feel the timing is right. They may have some more routes to write topos and descriptions for and determine the first ascencionists. They may be waiting for a more supportive political environment (The Frenchman Coulee Climbers Coalition http://frenchmancoulee.org/ is working directly with the Department of Fish and Wildlife to reduce impacts to flora and fauna and maintain access for climbers). I doubt the guidebook authors would pass out beta sheets freely, they have spent hundreds and hundreds of hours and likely thousands of dollars on cleaning, bolting, writing topos and descriptions, taking photos, editing, etc…… It's only through the sale of their new book may they recoup the financial expenses of their labor of love. Here's their email: Marlene Ford & Jim Yoder <climbing_fools@email.msn.com> David Yount. Quote
Bob_Clarke Posted March 24, 2001 Author Posted March 24, 2001 Does anyone know where to find or who to contact about getting a route update? I know there has been a lot of route activity. Quote
jon Posted March 24, 2001 Posted March 24, 2001 http://frenchmancoulee.org/ This is a group working with Land Management for Frenchman Coulee. My guess is they wouldn't appreciate youon their message boards asking about route info, but you should find the email addresses for the guidebook authors, I know they are there somewhere. Last I heard there was a new guidebook in the works. Quote
