TJD
I would appreciate any feed back on Mt.Church. I would like to take my 8 year old on a new climb for both of us. He has done Mt. Ellinor,Mt. Angeles and Mt. St.Helens. Would this be within his experince and strength? I do not feel he is ready for Mt. Washington or the standard route up Mt.Hood.Thanks. PhilU
I'm no climber but Church looked pretty hairy when I've viewed it from Wonder Mt. You might try tracking down a real nice guy named Larry on nwhikers.net. He's been there as well as everywhere else in the Olympics.
AJScott
I have been up there, and the car ride up is a lot more challenging than the climb (i have beer cans over my catalitic converter from this one)...you can see the summit from where you park your car at the end of the road, just head up the woods until you are on the ridge, then follow the ridge to the summit...class
