Rodchester Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Anyone been up Shannon Creek Road (FR 1152) and/or FR 1152-014? Curious about the road conditions geting into the Sulphide Glacier trailhead. How far can it be driven? Anyone slogged in? What are conditions on road past last drivable area...is it in decent touring shape? Any beta on route conditions (i.e. summit pyramid conditions) is also appreciated. Thanks in advance.... Quote
Farrgo Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 I don't know anything about Shannon Creek road but I was up on the summit pyramid a couple weeks ago and it was still snow covered so it was easy to climb. Quote
2morehours Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 This isn't really a current update, just trying to help BUT we skied the glacier a couple months ago and the road was barely snowed in to the trailhead, so I would have to ASSUME that it has been snow free for some time by now. You'll have to walk some ways, probably to the final old growth hill that gains the ridge. Please post if you check it out, I'm anxious to get back myself. Good luck! Quote
