I have basic chili bindings, cables only, on my 10th mtn, and use either T2s or merril super doubles. The system works well, is good in the cold weather. I don't alwas like cables, so I like crackeds idea about using the voiles with pins and cables though.

I have always used leather boots, asolo snowpines, or merrell super doubles. I bought my first plastics a couple years ago, T2s, and find that they are overkill in most situations. For bc touring, I have not used them, but I do at lift areas, or if I am just skinning up a hill for a day of turns. I should look at the T3s or 4s. However, the T2s sure have a lot of control and I have been happy with them.
