pateleyer
I want to get another few seasons out of my Karhu 10mtn tours. I want to update my binding/boot set up. Think a Scarpa T4/Rottfella Cobra would give me more power to turn them?
cracked
I've got them with Voile three pin cables and T3s. I really like the bindings because you can take the cables off when skinning, makes kicking and gliding much easier and faster.
snoboy
More power is relative... what are you on now?
pateleyer
Had Targa's on them..(put them on a another pair of skiis) and used Asolo Snowfields.
mtn_mouse
This topic does not seem appropriate to cc.com. Please move it to telemarktips.com. Â I have basic chili bindings, cables only, on my 10th mtn, and use either T2s or merril super doubles. The system works well, is good in the cold weather. I don't alwas like cables, so I like crackeds idea about using the voiles with pins and cables though.
cracked
Aren't T2s overkill? T3 or 4 would make more sense, though I believe that the new T3s with the thermo liner are lighter than the stock T4s?
mtn_mouse
I have always used leather boots, asolo snowpines, or merrell super doubles. I bought my first plastics a couple years ago, T2s, and find that they are overkill in most situations. For bc touring, I have not used them, but I do at lift areas, or if I am just skinning up a hill for a day of turns. I should look at the T3s or 4s. However, the T2s sure have a lot of control and I have been happy with them.
