Thomas Posted March 12, 2001 Posted March 12, 2001 Has anyone been up the road to heliotrope ridge (coleman glacier access) lately? Is it snow free? Does anyone know what time of year you can usually get a 2wd up the road. Thanks for the help. Quote
stephen Posted March 14, 2001 Posted March 14, 2001 i was up there last weekend (3/10). the road is clear to about three or four miles from the trailhead or about an hours worth of hiking. a couple groups (snowmobilers) made it closer than we did, but they had the advantage of 4-wheel drive and a bit more weight. hope this helps your plans... Bronco Posted March 14, 2001 Posted March 14, 2001 There is some info on the road & trailhead at the Mt. Baker climbing reports road conditions web page, http://209.64.181.208/advscripts/mbs_trl_rpt.asp?w=mbrd If you go before April 7, please post the conditions (I am planning a trip) Thanks- Quote
