sobo Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 A buddy of mine clued me in on this. There's both a House and a Senate bill to get the back of the $1 bill changed to include the Preamble to the Constitution, the Articles of the Constitution, and the Amendments to the Bill of Rights. Click on the dollar bill to enlarge it. Kinda cool idea, I think, since so few people really know this stuff anyway. I know I couldn't recall all of the Amendments to save my life! Quote
Kiwi Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 All well and good, mate, but it would help if the fuckin Bush administration followed the Constitution themselves! (see: PATRIOT Act) Quote
sobo Posted June 9, 2003 Author Posted June 9, 2003 Fine, I didn't put the post up to initiate a discussion that is already several days old in another thread. It's just info. Thanks for your editorial. Quote
Kiwi Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 It's okay. But everytime the Constitution comes up, I can't help but bitch about how the current administration is fucking it up. I think it'll be a cool idea, but maybe it'll be like internet advertising: eventually everyone will ignore it. Or like the Pledge of Allegiance where kids obediently recite it daily, yet have no clue what the words mean. Quote
