skyclimb Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 Anyone else get that ache in the left elbow after a few days of climbing?? Tendonitis! Found some cool stretches for it. Extend your arm straight forward making a fist with your fingers down. Concentrate on turning just your elbow down, keeping your fist as straight as possible. Obviously your fist will rotate, but good stretch. Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted May 5, 2003 Posted May 5, 2003 Another good one is to hold the injured arm in front of you, bent 90 degrees straight up. Grab just above the elbow with your other hand, and straighten the injured arm out in front of you, hand open, palm up. Keeping the injured arm steady with the other hand, and with your fingers spread out, slowly rotate your hand to the inside (i.e. if it's your left hand, you'll be describing a clockwise arc with your thumb; if it's your right hand, counterclock.) as far as you can, and hold it for a bit. You'll know when you've got it right 'cause you can really feel it pulling that tennis elbow tendon. Nice. Them tennis elbow braces are great, too. Quote
