Singu1arity Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Hi All! We are planning a trip next week and were kind of set on doing the Kautz as we got turned around last year just above the Ice Chute. However, this was in early August so I was curious if anyone had any beta on what climbing in early season is like on the Kautz. I figure given the deep snow this year avy conditions might be less than ideal, but was curious how bad to expect it to be? Obviously weather plays a big part in to this, but just curious on people's thoughts about this early a climb. Quote
ScaredSilly Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 As an early climb it will be snow. This time of year look at the Furher Finger. More direct. Or Gib Ledges. Quote
