The_North_Face Posted October 8, 2001 Posted October 8, 2001 Conrad Anker will be appearing at the North Face Seattle store to do a signing of his book "The Lost Explorer," which is based on the disappearance of Mallory and Irvine on Mt.Everest. Mallory and Irvine disappeared on the mountain in 1924 and to this day reamins one of climbing's great mysteries. Conrad's discovery of George Mallory's reasonably preserved body has shed new light onto the pioneering climbs of early alpine expeditions. Conrad is in town promoting the new IMAX movie, "Shackleton's Antarctic Adventure," which is now showing at the Pacific Science Center through December 31, 2001. Copies of Conrad's book will be available at the signing. A complimentary IMAX admission will also be given with every book purchase at the signing. We will also be having some snacks and drinks. Thanks and hope to see you there! Date: October 11, 2001 Time: 5-7pm Place:The North Face 1023 1st Ave. Cost: FREE! Quote
