  1. Since you threw some ideas out there, I'd advise against the Coleman Headwall and NFS due to the fact that it has been snowing pretty hard up there for about a week. These last two days have have been pretty clear, but I would give those big faces some more time to slide/settle before hopping on them. If you are not opposed to a long walk on a shitty road I would suggest the W. Rige of the N.Twin Sister. Mountain bikes make the approach, not to mention getting back to the car, much easier. Can't ride all the way though because of snow. Hope it helped.
  2. CC, no the line that I did was closer to the center of the base, where melt from the bowl above comes dowm the lower slabs. I know the line that you are referring to though, looks like tons 'o fun. If it ever starts to get real cold, we could organize a scoping schedule, that way I don't have to drive all the way out there every weekend.
  3. I know for a fact that there are some really nice, thin lines that form on the slabs to the right of the main caves. Most are in the range of two to four pitches, just don't expect good belays. These can be descended by climbing until you hit the big bowl, then traversing to the climbers right and scramble down through brush, possibly making a rap. By the way, if anyone is interested, Sprindrift(referred to earlier in this post) was repeated a few years ago by some dude that Bart knows. Solo. Still awaiting a third though, anyone keeping an eye out?

I've been to the base several times this winter and have yet to see Spindrift or anything else on the North Face in condition. I would advise anyone trying Spindrift to expect very steep climbing and very few good anchors. There is no place to bivi on this route. Has anyone else been looking at the drainage on the East side of the North Face just right of the "Towers Ridge?" It has some amazing detached pillars but the bottom section very seldom seems to be in and safe at the same time. Good Luck Doug
