  1. Yeah, I'd be interested. Are you set on that route, or are you willing to consider others?
  2. Have a good trip. I was thinking of heading out that way again sunday-tuesday. what route are you doing? I think this time I'm going to do Chiwawa via Lyman Gl. and then just kinda hang out. Shoot me an email and let me know how it went. Ross
  3. Hey Lisa whats going on? I do quite a bit of climbing on and around the weekends and pretty much any time in between. Mostly do ski mountaineering stuff (like to ski what I climb) but also starting to get into just walking or glissading down..had a great glissade down the steeper part of the upper sehale glacier last weekend..felt like I was doin about 80,,,yee haw. anyway I think Im heading out next WED THU FRI. going to try to do Maude, then over to Chiwawa, and finally up to North Star, wont be skiing but should still be a good trip. Lets go climb sometime.
  4. anyone been up sehale peak lately? thinking of doing a ski trip in the area... what's the snow level at in vicinity of cascade pass....

  8. well interesting topic.... first of all I'm out of Seattle, ski mostly on alpine gear, and ascend via snowshoes or trekkers...yeah yeah I know the drill they're heavy klunky and really pretty pathetic, but hey in the end they work....although I am working on tele, but not quite ready for long tours yet on tele gear.... have climbed and skied the WA volcanoes on alpine gear so I can manage the pain??? anyway that's all from here.... smoke up all you want...but not on my rope
  9. Hey, looking for partner(s) to go for a climb/tour this weekend...destination..not really sure yet possibly..Adams, Hidden Lake Peaks, Cascade Pass area, Silver Star...I'm more of a skier than a climber.ie, I climb so I can ski..anyone interested?
  10. looking for recent beta from Adams...south side...also has anyone been up around Sehale Peak? what are conditions looking like? Thinking about a ski trip to one or the other once this weather clears out a little bit..has anyone been on either recently?
  11. i would also suggest the Emmons as the route of choice for a first try...long, and strenuous yet mostly a non-technical glacial climb..gives you a real sense of the vastness and mass of Mt. Rainier...choose you're time wisely and you'll miss most crowds...enjoy
  12. Interested in getting info from people on winter ascents on Mt. Rainier. Thinking of Fuhrer Finger rout...anyone with comments suggestions or info reply thanks
