Hey! I just saw your post - I'm actually thinking about doing a less technical Rainier ascent in August and was hoping to find a few people to join. I am down in Los Angeles and was considering coming up for a few days to do it. I just did Shasta a few weeks ago (it was my first real solo mountaineering experience) and absolutely loved it, and I am hiking Whitney next weekend. I just joined this forum but feel free to reach out if you wanted to plan something, same goes for anybody! - Jack
