I'm coming from Philly for a week June 30-July 7th. Planning on heading from the airport to the North Cascades. I don't rock climb but am keen on hitting somewhere solid for night photography. I have been to Terror Basin and West Mcmillan before in April two years ago to snowboard and am considering hitting there first. Also given it isn't too late in the season I was thinking maybe a section of the Ptarmigan depending on weather. I have glacier gear but wouldn't be all that comfortable on anything too sketchy. Can't decide whether it is worth it to bring the splitboard or not either.
Hmmm. I wish I knew anything about actual rock or trad climbing. Prusik would be sweet. I've yet to do a full Enchantments traverse and from pics last weekend the Core still has enough snow to justify carting a board along for some turns
So I'm guessing probably not haha. Let me know if you want to do Upper Lena! Lena itself is snow free (bummer. tried to make it there in 5 ft of powder multiple times this winter) but the Bretherton chutes would be fun to mess around on for a day.
If you're interested I saw pics of Bretherton from last weekend it still has some snow left for patchy rock boarding. Was going to head to Rainier or HWY 20 tomorrow but something local also sounds like a great idea. Brothers would also be awesome

Have some folk heading up Emmons this coming weekend, but I'm more inclined to go where there won't be tons of people. Terror Basin was a snowy wasteland when I went in May. Leave Saturday morning early and sunrise summit ascent Sunday morning.
