Hi Jordon, I just moved to Seattle and am dying to get out as much as possible this winter too! I have a lot of rock experience but no snow experience (which is part of the reason I moved to Seattle, to get more!. I have boots, crampons and an axe but no tools yet. Hey! I am moving to Seattle in 2 weeks and am looking for a climbing partners. Actually I am looking for a mountaineering mentor or someone who is willing to teach me basics of glacier travel, crampon use and ice axe technique. It seems like you have these things down. I am a highly capable rock climber. I lead 5.11 trad and sport in Yosemite, Squamish, Red Rocks, Indian Creek etc. I am very willing to teach rock climbing and maybe you could teach me some mountaineering skills. I just moved to Seattle and am dying to get my foot in the mountaineering, ice climbing, alpine climbing world. I am a highly capable rock climber, climbing 5.10 alpine in the Sierras as well as 5.11 sport and trad in Yosemite, Squamish, Red Rocks, Indian Creek, New River Gorge etc. I am looking to find a mentor or someone interested in getting out on snow as often as possible.
