Hey all, I'm visiting the area for a few days starting next Wednesday. I'll be near Portland from the 29th to the 31st, and have rented a place in Bend (with family and friends) from 8/31 to 9/4. Was hoping to go up Rainier (via DC or some other relative tame route) sometime during the first 3 days, and then get in at least one day at Smith and maybe a day on the Sisters or other similar alpine goodness near Bend. I'm also open to other suggestions - I've only been in the Cascades once before (Hood and St Helens, Mar 2010) and never to Smith. Hoping to find partners familiar with the area to get on some snow and rock with - preferably some moderate classics.
