Super fun spot! I had the opportunity to get out there and do some deep water soloing out of a canoe this summer, great fun to be had all around that end of the lake. We also camped at point wind puke and that crack that was by your tent was quality fun, didn't consider a top rope though, instead we took the easier crack to the right of the first part and scrambled down the steep gully. I'd love to make it back there again next summer.

I'm not desperate quite yet, I'll come over to Bozeman and check out Gallatin Canyon if thats what option I have. I've been checking out mountainproject and rockclimbing to check out what climbing there is around Hellena, and there appears to be some cool limestone and a little granite not too far away. I'll definitely go checkout the Basecamp once I get there. Thanks for the info.

Hey, not sure if I should post this in the Montana section or the misc. areas one but I'll post it here for now. I will be moving to Helena Montana in the next week and will be looking for people to climb with. I can climb up to 10's, slightly weaker leading on gear but happy to follow and wanting to get stronger. I have a full rack and rope and just want to get out and climb. If anybody knows anybody or has any connections in the area anything is good.

I'd be interested in index, I've never been. also been trying to go to leavenworth if thats not too far. I'm climbing at the same level. have gear and rope.

I have a reverso3 and have noticed some wear on the inside where the rope passes through and it seems to be sharpening edges to an extent, this has also happened to a friends reverso3. I have enjoyed using the device but am also looking at a new one to make this my spare. I was wondering if anybody had information on this wear happening on the reverso3 device and its wear on ropes.
