  3. Thanks Stephane, but I'm already back in NYC. Ended up going surfing @ Westport this past weekend, and it was awesome! Really good swell! It's great to know that this option exists (2.5-3 hours drive from Seattle) when climbing partners are hard do come by. -F
  4. Hey, I know this is late notice, but I'm visiting from out of town and my partner for doing the normal route on Rainier this coming weekend just broke his foot. Anybody interested in giving either DC or Emmons route a go, leaving tomorrow morning from Seattle and coming back on Sunday night? The forecast is great for this weekend! I have alpine and mountaineering experience and all the gear needed. Alternatively, if anyone is going up Rainier this weekend and wouldn't mind a third person on their rope, that would be great. Please call me at 917-783-5713. Thanks, -Felix
  5. I should've also mentioned that I lead 5.8 trad and 5.10 sport, and have mountaineering/alpine experience.
  6. Hi, I'm looking for a climbing partner for the Labor day weekend through 9/6. I'm pretty open as far as objectives go, but I'd be interested in doing Rainier, Baker, Squamish and/or alpine rock in the Cascades. Thanks, -Felix
  7. Thanks Kris, nice TR and pics! And Kurt, thanks for the NR approach beta as well!!
  8. Thanks Ptown! Did you summit via the Coleman-Deming route? I'm wondering about how difficult navigating/crossing the Coleman would be late in the season, to gain access to the N Ridge ...
  9. Hey, does anyone know the current conditions for the Coleman Glacier? Any speculations on navigating the Coleman to gain the North Ridge at the end of August?
