  2. I'm looking to get some climbing in tomorrow, pretty much down for anything from exit to index, leavenworth, wa pass and beyond .5-.10 depending on circumstance and route. I don't have a car, or full rack but I have a 70m rope and gas money, could leave as early as ASAP. feel free to email me at pulda015@gmail.com (I'll respond almost instantly.)

  6. hey, I'm new to washington and have wednesday off. Been rock climbing for 3-4 months now, just wondering what kind of climb this was etc.... I'm not even sure what I'm looking at, but I assume it might be something I'm interested in. Or it might be completely out of my realm right now. Thanks for your time. Aaron pulda015@gmail.com
  7. oh, yeah since its short notice, email me at pulda015@gmail.com or call 2626649274 either one should hit my phone asap. my bag is packed.
  8. I'm fiending for some climbing here..... anyone from seattle want to pull a last minute session at vantage? I'm down to climb til dark, and probably even later, at least until we cant see anything. if nothing else is anyone interested in a early morning session at exit tomorrow? or late afternoon saturday/sunday?
  9. So, I'm fiending for a little climbing here, hit exit 38 this morning and it was soaked, I'm hoping a little sunshine and lack of rain will dry things up a bit out there..... and I can head back for a session this afternoon. I know I risk slipping and sliding a bit, but my main concern is, how much of a risk would I be taking of having bolts/anchors/holds pop off when damp? I know granite and basalt should be solid under these conditions, but how solid will the rhino stone be? would I be risking more than just slipping and sliding if I can get a toprope up on a couple routes?
  10. Hey anyone want to climb near seattle today(tuesday), Wednesday or thursday. I got all we need for some sport climbing. Might be short a few draws on longer routes. I just need a buddy and some wheels. I'll pay for gas. I'm willing to go anywhere actually, just thought exits are easiest and closest. I'm fairly new to the sport but ambitious. So I really am unsure of what I climb right now, but willing to try or even just belay on anything. Pm me, or email at pulda015@gmail.com
  11. Thanks for the input folks, you made a good point about the whole asking for a partner before I even have a harness, so I bit the bullet and committed, should have harness shoes and belay device next week, still gotta wait a bit before I can afford rope/draws/pro. but, if anyones willing to work with me I'm excited and almost ready, will be picking up my own rope asap so we can beat on my gear when I get it if anyone wants to.
  12. sorry it was hidden in the subject line, but.... I'm in Seattle.
  13. Hey, just got into seattle from the midwest, I got a little tired of cornfields and flatland and made the move on a whim. I've always wanted to get into rock climbing, I've done a couple of climbs and really enjoyed it so I know I'm willing to invest in some gear and take it seriously at this point. I'm hoping someone can either point me in the right direction or take me under their wing and mentor me a bit. Unfortunately I'm new here and so don't really know anyone to learn from until probably late July early August when my friend gets back to town and would love to get a head start. I'm willing to start on getting gear as soon as I know what to look for, my ultimate goal is to pick up trad climbing, so I'd like to gear up for that but with stuff that isn't too overkill for the gym either. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to pick it up at this point. I'll stand and belay you all day on that new route you're working on, pay for gas, we can use my ropes and pro., I'll even buy beer and burgers at the end of the day. So, yeah if you can point me in the right direction as far as literature, gear etc..... I would really appreciate it.
  14. I should have specified, but I am actually interested in both rock and alpine. I moved out here to get away from flat land and corn fields. Thanks for the tip on avoiding top rope. I'm just trying to figure out where to get started and because I'm interested in trad, I assume the best way is to learn from someone who already knows how to place pro. I'm mostly into it because I've always been big into hiking and backpacking and would love to combine climbing with that package. So please, if anyone is interested let me know, or if anyone can point me in the right direction I will really appreciate any advice, knowledge or wisdom.
  15. Hey, just arrived in seattle on a whim from the midwest, really love this town and feel like I'll be staying for a while. I've always been extremely interested in climbing and have really only been on about 3 climbs and really enjoyed it. One was unfortunately in tennis shoes with no chalk on a texas summer day so that wasn't all that much fun but still a good time. I'm completely new to the sport, really want to learn trad but understand I have to start somewhere. I have no gear but am willing to start investing in some of course, just don't know where to start beyond shoes and harnesses. I'm definetly willing to start in a gym to get warmed up but of course want to get out on the real thing. because of work my schedule kind of sucks, I have off on Mondays and thursdays for the time being and I work 2nd shift so I can meet up for the gym early in the day/afternoon. Just beware I am a total newb.... but an eager one.
