Tarheel looking for a partner on Mt Baker and something else. Have climbed Rainier X 2, Hood X 2, Jeff, Adams, St Helens and Middle Sister. Took guides on first 3 as I have no friends who do this sort of stuff. Did Jeff and Middle Sister in 3.5 days last May. Back in the office in North Carolina 28 hours after summiting Middle Sister. I'm coming out to climb something; I can drink beer back at the car, between peaks or at the airport. Fly in into Sea-Tac May 26. My goal is have fun and not make the news or Accidents in North American Mountaineering. Bonus; I'll buy your beer and tell tales of idiocy I've encountered. PM me.

Summited Middle 5/24 (boy from NC) Road open. Wore snowshoes almost all way in. Snow bridge over creek off North Sister(Soap?) still intact. Punching through in places on hike out around noon, even with snowshoes. Firm from tree line to MS summit early morning summit day but snow balling on crampons on return. My Portland friend crapped out in the saddle.Had the summit to myself (except for a field mouse in a little depression, very odd). No mountains like this around these parts

Did almost same thing a few years back. Day #1 flew in that night and drove to Timberline (late) Day#2 Ascend Palmer with Timberline Mt Guides and camped at ~8k edge Palmer snowfield. #3 summit and back down and overnight at lodge with friend from Seattle #4 Drive to Trout Lake and get permit. Hike in and camp in Crescent Glacier. #5 summit,return to car and drive to Couger. Stay in cabin. #6 10 mile dayhike Windy Ridge at MSH. #7 climb MSH and drive to PDX #8 fly home Great trip. Timberline good. I have used twice as I have ZERO friends who do this sort of thing and my family would rather have me than my life insurance pay off. Had outstanding weather. Was a bit tired (I was 40 then). Weather will be the wild card.
