I have cooked in tents for years, summer and winter, mostly in the vestibule, and I use the pan to shield the tent from the flares when starting up a white gas stove. No tents burnt and no carbon monoxide casulaties so far.
Got the new Quarks. They are light, well balanced and swing like nothing else. You can take off the hammer/adze but it's a hassle to reinstall them. It's easier to dismantle/reinstall the trig-and handrests. Used them last week in Chamonix. For alpine- and ice climbing they are a breeze. Looking forward to Rjukan.
