  1. Trip: South Korea Winter Climbing Recap - Date: 3/15/2014 Trip Report: Since my friend and I have been too scared to ice climb this past winter, we utilized the extensive bullet train network to ferry us to the southern tip of the Korean peninsula to find warm rock. Amnam Park...Great views...but probably the worst rock quality I've ever climbed on. AeBawi: My favorite place to climb thus far in Korea. Incredible views, solid rock, interesting lines...and the exposure speaks for itself. Overall we enjoyed using all our free time to climb around the country during our deployment to Korea. Never thought the military could be a tool to climb all around the world and get paid.
  2. Great starter setup. If you have more questions feel free to ask.
  3. I have time off too. I'd like to give Hood a shot. Let me know if you are interested. I'm 25, in the seattle area, climbed Rainier, Baker, Adams. Respond back to this I'll check it later today(tues).
  4. This is last minute...but the weather is looking nice Tuesday and Wednesday. I've only been up once last winter but some avalanche danger sent us down around 12,000 feet on Gib ledges. If you have some experience and want to head up an easier route let me know. Send me a text. -Mark 425-753-9771
  5. I have a ton of time off then, and I'm back to the Northwest after graduating college in the east coast. Most of my partners don't live in Washington, so I need to find some close by. I'm interested in Rainier, Baker, Hood...or some alpine climbing/crag climbing. I have all the gear and I lead on trad to about 5.8/5.9..above that I better be following... If anyone has any other ideas let me know. Rainier is my main interest though. -
  6. what route specifically?
  7. what is everyone still thinking?
  8. i have a car too. friday and saturday could be potential summit days with the weather clearing up.
  9. anyone want to try and climb some ice this week in washington? It's been colder recently so I bet we can find something. If not something more alpine-like? PM me

  13. I'm back on the west coast again, and I need to get out there and climb something. Weather seems kind of sketchy right now...but I am willing to go long distances. I'm down for anything; Hood...Rainier...ice climbing...alpine..a snow scramble up a peak... I'll be here until Jan. 2nd. 425-753-9771 Mark call or text if you want to try and do something.
