If I had known I would have helped, where can I get info for future projects?

I scanned through but couldn't find anything on who was doing the trail work at Broughton. Past the Hanging Gardens it seems some one went to work with a shovel. Well done! There wern't but a few different tracks present so I would imagine it's fairly new?
-
The anchor I used to fix my line to while removing these seemed quite new. No rust but dirty, obviously hadn't been used in a while but even still...

Go with the OR mitts!! I've been using them for years up in AK and never had a problem with cold fingers even at -60!

Did anyone know there's a cabbage patch at the top of Broughton? It's been taken care of, the bolts and hangers are gone. From what I can tell it should be an easy patch job. All but one of the sleeves were sunk well into the wall. Rawl bolts all the way up. *I expect some love and hate because of this... If it ends up being a HUGE issue they're easy enough to put back up.* Sorry to not comfirm with everyone before heading out there and pulling these. I had work off today and felt somthing needed to be done. I'll give it a week and if no one claims (publicly) that they put this up and their reasoning I feel a discussion is to be had as far as doing some rehab to older bolts on the wall. Not all of the bolts up the "ladder" were a result of these guys so it was deffinatly crossing some lines. Deffinatly cut through parts of "Go Back to the Gym". In all 12 hangers and bolts were pulled. The bolt on the roof was left. I could tell it was older and was also a different size than the others. Red are the bolts that were pulled, green means they were there long ago and left. If the parties want their locker (red, white and blue) bolts and hangers back let me know. The other biners were pulled from higher up and if they're yours or you know whos let me know!

I've used two of the nylon Petzl "emergency" pully and two tiblocs for doing short glacier crossings as a "just in case" set up. You can set these Z systems up with prussiks and ovals but it's not pretty. The nylon emergency pulley is the same thing used in the Sideswing Pulley but when you're using the nylon on an oval, if the pulley breaks you still have the oval holding your rope. It depends on what your trying to accomplish and where you're trying to accomplish it as to what you might want to carry and have as well as how you want to set it up. What are you trying to accomplish? You're going to expirience alot of friction at your #1 and #3 points. If this is a "just in case" system I would say to go with the lighter nylon pulleys, you can carry 10 for the weight of a regular pulley. If you're going to be doing alot of heavy hauling get some nicer pulleys and get atleast two.

Kelsey, Hopefully John told you of the spot in the Valley that we put bolts up on before I left. I still need help deciding a name for the wall and the route though. Let me know if John doesn't have the info and i'll help you out.

Looking for some people to go aiding with around Portland. Maybe make a few trips out of state this summer. Currently going all clean and hooking what I can't nut (C3). Picking up some iron soon. Anyone game?

They look pretty loose and being no master in placing bolts shouldn't they just need tightened?

I was there Friday solo-aiding and went back again Saturday with a partner... Why do they put the "CLOSED" sign up on the 31st? We said f*#k it and scooted past anyway after he had left.
