  1. I've just discovered this post from hearing about it from a friend. Anyways, i've been climbing out here for 10 years and seriously, there is no place better. I did on the slab above listed the best 5.11 face route i've ever done on granite. It's the most amazing rock!!!! Matt!!!!
  2. I'm hoping to get up to squamish this coming weekend and for cheap. anyone want to carpool up across the border? I've been climbing for 15 years and can definatly keep up. Matt 2064370016
  3. Looking to head from Seattle to California for a rock trip the last week of july/first week of august and wanting to make it as cheap as possible. Anyone? If I find someone from Seattle who wants to get out there i'd be stoked to fly in and get a rental car otherwise i'm considering just buying a beater in Sacramento and leaving it in my brothers driveway since it will probably pan out to be about the same price as often as i'm there. http://www.southernsierra.org/Soyo.html check here for a preview of a small part of the climbing available in the area.
  4. i'd be stoked to get out on saturday or sunday but have to work on friday Matt

  6. Hey Y'all looking for folks who would want to head up to this area in the next few weeks. Wanting to fly out with someone, and split the cost of gas, rental car, etc. plus have an amigo to do a bunch of proj's with. Chances are you've never heard of the area, but that's ok...nobody else has and it's sort of a locals secret, as much as anything can be in the age of the internet...from my perspective it's the best stone i've ever climbed and i've climbed in Yosemite for 10+ years http://www.rockclimbing.com/routes/North_America/United_States/California/Western_Sierra/Shuteye_Ridge/ Matt
  7. hoping to get out to squamish this weekend but need a ride and a partner. I've been climbing for 14 years without a mid life crisis, and am wanting to get on just about anything so long as its made of granite.....PM me and we'll talk plans.
  8. I walked around the snow slide and over, under and around the trees in the road and it was a long day. To make things worse, there was alot of snow at the base
  9. hey guys, I'm selling my van...the sweet climbing/skiing roadtrip mobile that it is to pay off some med. bills...anyways, it's GMC Safari/Chevy Astro, AWD, totally pimped... http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/car/699986438.html
  10. did you find a yellow alien fixed on the crux pitch?
  11. I want to climb for memorial day weekend, but don't know the cascades super well since I just moved here in December. Does anybody not have a partner and want to do an early trip up to Wa Pass? Squamish? Leavenworth?
  12. Looking to get out to Index/Leavenworth/Tieton this coming Saturday. There is a possibility of extending through Sunday and making a little trip out of it, but I won't be sure until later because of work stuff. I'm new to the group/the seattle area, but have been climbing for almost 15 years, got all the gear, etc. climbing sub 12's and looking to just get out there on any type of climb just to experience the NW climbing. Matt
  13. better than heartlessly logging it to death!! Or would you rather have it take another 8 years?
  14. I would also be stoked to climb tieton this weekend. It will be my first time out there since I just moved to Seattle in December.
