  1. The reason I asked was that I was at the upper town wall about two weeks ago on a sunny day where some pitches had wet and slimy cracks, and I am not that familiar with Index. Thanks, tomtom for your insightful answer.
  2. Does great nothern slab dry out pretty well? Would it be dry this time of the year?
  3. No, but I take 30% chance of rain as acceptable, unless, as my question asked, if any wetness would make it dangerous to climb.
  4. I am thinking about going to Peshastin Pennicles, and it's suppose to have 30% chance of rain on Sunday. Being that it's sandstone, is it generally recommended that the rock should not be climbed if it's wet or raining like Red Rocks?
  5. Professional climbers have videos of hugh whippers they take. That might be more dramatic than amateur shots for class presentation.
  6. Definately spend some time in Yosemite. Your crack climbing skills will be so much better, you'll amaze yourself. My partner calls it the "Yosemite magic".
  7. Everyone hold it and go to the gas station. I'm serious.
  8. I can vouch that he is a good guy and very chill. He has been to these places so much, he is like a walking guidebook. And he is pretty modest about his abilities. He's onsighting trad 10s, lately. And according my recollection, he has followed up to 11's. Most importantly, he takes good pictures. Wish I could afford the time off.... Christine
  9. This guy and I were thinking about Infinate Bliss, also, and thought we might simal climb the first part. But I was worried about whether some of the pitches were so run out, we might find ourselves not protected. Was that not an issue for your guys?
  10. That's awesome that you are staying in Tacoma area. We could drive together. What are you in the area for--just to climb? I only lead sport, so I only have sport gear, but if you are up for sport climbing, we could climb that day. I've recently moved here, so I am not super familiar with too many places, but I think late April would be good for Vantage, Tietan rocks, or may be Leavenworth? I am pretty sure Index and Little Si would be wet. I could be leaving out places and would be open to what ever. My email is clee03m@yahoo.com, so free free to email me.
  11. I know it's a long ways away, but anyone off that day and want to climb? I live near Tacoma, so anywhere in the driving distance would be fine. I am flexible about where to go/what to climb. I've been climbing for 5+ years and a safe and attentive belayer. Can lead sport (10's), but will follow trad. Chris
