  1. One photographer to another, these are quite beautiful.I assume you're shooting digital? I shoot an old olympus OmG and print everything by hand in black and white (I'm old school), so I have to say that I really appreciate that in your black and white images the blacks are actually black, and the highlights aren't blown out. I'll probably PM you about a print, too. Beautifully composed, beautifully lit shots - beautiful subject matter
  2. Since we're talking about boots, I have a question too: Everybody seems to say plastics are the thing if I want to do stuff like rainier, and something like the trangos is better for stuff in the cascades. The trango bit I understand, but plastics sound like they'd be...well, plastic, inflexible, clunky, etc. If I'm gonna be walking up a glacier, don't I want my boots to flex a bit? Any leather boots that are good for stuff like rainier, hood, etc? Something like La Sportiva's Nuptse or something? I apologize if the answer is actually obvious, I am a newbie about mountaineering.
  3. So on the cascade alpine guides website, on the employment page, it says that they take interns on a case by case basis. Has anybody here ever interned with cascade alpine guides, or is with cascade alpine guides and could tell me more about this? Sounds like something I'd really like to do. I'm a poor rock climber who can't afford to take a mountaineering course but it would be awesome if I could be a sort of working student, or intern.
  4. this sounds like soloing A5 in flip flops. This guy is braver than me. And apparently deals better with being cold and wet for long periods of time. How did he get his boat flipped back over when it capsized?
