I live in the east and haven't been in the mountains in years. Plan to come out to give Rainier a shot with a few of my non climbing running buddies, so we plan to use a guide service. I would appreciate any suggestions on which service to use. Also Emmonds or DC? Thks

How old is your parka? Any stains, tears, holes, or odors? Curious....why selling?

I have never climbed in the Cascades. Are my La Sportiva Trango S Evo Goretex boots adequate for moderate routes on Rainier in the summer? If not what would those of you in the know suggest that I try on for fit.

Anybody have the Marmot Pounder Plus synthetic bag? If so, how is it? Weight seems good, I like the fact that it is synthetic, and the price is not bad. I believe it is supposed to be rated at +25 and fairly compressible for a synthetic, so comments are appreciated.
