  2. No we didn't attempt the route on Saturday. We were on the approach road/trail w beers on Saturday afternoon when you guys were skiing out. If that was you guys...???

We bivied in the parking lot, overslept until 8:30 am, did the approach on foot, and still got up and down the route in daylight. Great day out with good friends.

My partners have photos of us on the summit but that's about it. I don't think there were any taken on the route.

I got a good deal for this jacket but it's unfortunately too big for my wife so I'm just trying to recover my costs.

  4. More ice up in Lillooet than Bozeman from what I saw and climbed in both.)

There is enough ice in Hyalite right now to keep busy for at least a week. This is not the case in Lillooet.

Hate to think the locals were givng mis-info to keep the hordes of yanks away ;)

We wouldn't do that to you guys. Nothing to climb here in BC.

  6. Used aid climbing gear that just isn't getting used. I've gone to the dark side and now spend all my climbing time in the alpine, on ice or free climbing.

Everything is in good or excellent shape except for the russian aider cuffs, which are useable but could use some stitching or patching on the straps as reinforcement, and the yellow alien, which could use a new sling.

The lobes on both cams are in good shape and the black alien has been tensile tested by CCH after being purchased, marked by a stamp.

Two of the three BD Cliffhanger Hooks have been filed: one to a sharp point (hawk) and the other for bathooks.

FISH snake charmer rope bag has been used once. Static rope has been used lightly and is otherwise in great shape.

  7. Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has advice regarding going for the N Ridge later this month. In particular, are the late-season crevasses and bergschrunds prohibitively difficult to pass, or with this year's snow pack would the N Ridge be relatively easy to approach and get on. If I'm not mistaken, the guide books say that this route is typically done in the spring and early summer.

Any alternative routes if you expect the N Ridge to be a pain in the arse to get on later this month?

    Thanks in advance
