Hello, I'm looking for partners for the DC route on weekday's or weekend's (weekday's preferable to avoid crowds) any time from the 11th to the 31st. None of my climbing partners are available so if someone has room for one more on their rope team I would be very grateful. My Schedule is wide open. I'm in very good shape, have crevasse rescue/glacier travel skills, and have all the gear(rope, pickets, ect.) The plan was to go up the ridge and either follow it all the way to the summit ridge, or to traverse out to the north face to avoid the rock, whatever looked better up close. But the weather turned on us half way up... I'm definitely going back to complete the climb next winter.

I did a multi day trip in the Wallowa's in late March 07. We attempted Sacajawea on our last day but turned around due to weather. This trip report might be of use but it was a month in a half ago... Trip Report It would be a long day car to car but it is doable. I doubt you will find any ice. Here is what the face looked like in late March:

I think I'm gonna head up to hood tomorrow night for an early morning climb of the south side (most likely the old chute). My plan is to leave the lodge around midnight - 1am Thursday morning and be back before 7am. Any body want to come along?

I was there on Memorial Day and there is room for about 10 cars at devils lake trailhead.
