Old Chute is actually right next to the PG. PG is to the right looking from the Hogsback and the Old Chute is to the left, around the same rock formation. Route that it is a boot path now is called the Old Mazama Chute and it is on the left side of the Hogsback. The Old Chute is actually fun to go up this year as the Hogsbacj shifted to the west a lot.

I was there last Saturday. Went up Pearly gates down Old Chute. Just a patch of ice in the PG but 15 feet of ice on the way down in the Old Chute. If you go up anytime soon I would take the Old Chute up, more fun. Also an ice tool recommended for the ice there and also it is steeper then usual.
