    Me too. I'm over it. That was pure politics. Sure, he's being honest when saying he feels it. Anyone who spent their Summer's at the shore feels it. It's the only decent thing they've got, and I can tell ya it's all fucked. Notice Christie's billboard jacket announcing that he's the gubner. He don't leave home w/o it.     With all the hulabaloo over Sarah Palin's "shuck and jive" comment the lamestream media automatically deemed her remark racist. Did they forget that she jumped Glen Rice's bones while reporting on the Polar Bear Classic for an AK network. Come on. Give the sista a break.

    Gene's advice for hiring a guide to do a traverse of the Presidential Range is spot on. Look into doing a Winter climb of Rainier. Get used to shitty cold windy weather camping. Bone up on your crevasse rescue and glacier travel skills. Bon chance.

    Hey Billy. I just meant it it would be terrible to build it, or any other dam for that matter, in this valley. The "Susitna-Watana Dam" is not, in fact, going to be at Watana Creek, but rather at Deadman Creek. (The State says, "Of course we weren't going to name it the Deadman Dam.")

    I'm thinking that's Devil Canyon if it's on the Susitna. I know of only a couple folks that'll run that in a jetboat. That is most impressive, like you say, considering it was done old school. No way. :noway:

    As many of you know the town of Talkeetna was flooded during the recent Pineapple Express that dumped massive amounts of rain in Alaska. If the proposed dam, which they want to build on the Denali Fault, had spilled, this town would be completely wiped out. Most other states are tearing down these monstrosities and letting the rivers run free. Please help support us in our efforts to stop the madness. Become informed. Thanks
