As of last weekend, snow starts at the lake and continues on up Avy canyon. I carried boots to there. (incidently, I was going to post a lost coffee plunger (Big Sky) and offer beer for its return from campsite #5- 604 5495) We took bikes to ride the 4.5 past the washout- this is the way... North shoot was in good shape as was the finger traverse. East side snow conditions were pretty poor. No summit for us. Have fun up there.

Thought I'd let a couple of days go to allow for the person who took my shoes from the base of Castle on Sat afternoon to post... Left my tennies, (Keen's) at the base of the Catapult Chimney and they were gone when I returned well before dark on the same day. Curious.
