  1. I lived in a baramoetric chamber in Alaska during training season for xc ski races. We had it set at around 8000-10000 feet. We trained at see level and slept/lived at altuitude. It worked great. They are expensive though, plus my opinion the whole altitude thing is half mental anyways, I have raced at 10,000 feet and you just need to go balls to the wall if you want to preform well. I could go both ways on the chamber. Maybe try blood doping or taking Erythropoietin in increas the number of oxygen carring hemoglobin in your blood, it will do the same thing.

  2. I need some good ideas of some good places to go for some BC Tele skiing this weekend up on Mt. Hood. I am familiar with both the North and south sides since I have climbed both. I just need a few ideas of some good places to go for this weekend. Thanks for the help.

  3. my brother and I go leashless all the time with our quarks, they work great!!! We both have lead 4+ with out any problem, now on a long alpine route such as ham and eggs, or shaken not stired I would use the leashes. I have used John's Ergos dry tooling and they are nice!! I would say to get the ergos / nomic if you want to do more sport ice climbing, but grab leashes for the long alpine climbs. I have also used my quarks for DT and they work fine.

  4. I had a pair of the Awax toolz and was not a huge fan of the leash system. I found that it would pop out of the hooks while I was not weighting the tool, not quite ideal in some situations. The Awax toolz are nice, but they dont have enough head weight and the grips ar sub-par.

  5. I own two pairs of the bionics ans I really like te replaceable front points so when I go to dry tool night I dont have to empty out my checking acount for some good times at Rocky Butte. John does have some good points on the "rake" point, I think it is personall prefrance. I think you would be happy with the bionics, or M10.

  6. Here is my stolen car story-

Well I parked my car next to good Sam Hospital at 3:45pm and went for a 45min run up a Forest Park and by the time I got back my car was gone. So in 45min they stole it. Pretty crappy deal

Here is the good news my car has been found!!!!! Except that there is a couple of broken windows and EVERYTHING inside is totally thrashed!!!! Plus they took everthing I had and replaced it with a bunch of trash and garbage!! I am going to meet with the insurance adjuster today and all I can say is that I am glad that I have full coverage issurance!!!!!! Anyways that is the story thus far....
