  1. I have a prior khyber 165, and have found to ride great in powder and spring snow. Haven't hit any really icy conditions, but it's great in corn on crust or whatever.

    Bizarre Movies

No one has mentioned Hanzo Razor??!! Dropped by a friends house for movie night a couple of years ago, and this was the move he picked. Weird, weird, weird
  3. WMA offers a WAFA and WAFA -> WFR bridge course that does not take a full week. It's not entirely evenings and weekends, but doesn't require a full week to go that route and you can space the two courses out. http://www.wildmed.com/Courses/bridge_syllabus.htm
  4. I recall seeing this in a record store before I saw the Herb Albert cover YUCK!!
  5. There's a show of ski mountaineer and photographer Carl Skoog's photos in Pioneer square tonight. It's first thursday, so all of the galleries will be open until 8pm or so. Stop by and get some culture. Sam Day studio and gallery 79 South Main Street, Pioneer Square, Seattle WA 98104 http://www.samday.com/gallery6.html
  6. I'm in Seattle. Should have put that in the post. Do you get up this way at all?
  7. I have a Wren industries silent partner for sale. Very good condition, used twice. There's a couple of scratches on it. I've found if I can't find a partner I'd rather go road biking or do something else. Includes the instruction manual, which is a 30 page booklet to make sure you set things up correctly. more info here: http://www.wrenindustries.com/silentpart.html $125 I'm in seattle. We can meet, or if you're out of town, I can ship if you'll cover shipping.
  8. I've skinned up at crystal before. The ski patrol asked what I was doing, but didn't give me a hassle. Skinning up the Blueberry cat track at Baker seems to be a pretty popular option. This has also been discussed here: http://www.turns-all-year.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=ha1;action=display;num=1131417934
  9. Skiing short stretches in soft snow is not too bad. Traversing on a sidehill w/o skins and a broken pole is no fun. I've given some thought to adding a second set of touring brackent behind the heel lift, so that I could fix the heel for a short downhill stretch.
  10. November fog... Better than http://www.brentvatne.com/music/Guns%20Nroses%20-%20November%20Rain.mp3 November Rain
  11. I think you have the wrong date. The teton grav website says it showed there 10/18, not 11/18. I missed it last night ( shopping for my wife's birthday), but may make it to the Mt. Vernon showing after a day at Baker
  12. Has anyone gone to see this film? The trailer looks pretty cool. It's showing at the Showbox tomorrow night. http://www.tetongravity.com/td/tdTour.php
  13. That sounds like an awesome trip! Nice job!
  14. Thanks crack! I'll check that out. Someone also recommended trying anti-bacterial soap. More info on why dirty clothes stink
  15. I have several polypro/coolmax type wicking t-shirts I regularly wear climbing and skiing, and some of them have developed an entirely unhealthy odor. I understand that synthetics don't clean up as well as natural fabrics like cotton or wool, but is there a certain type of soap that can be used to get these smelling "mountain fresh" again?
