I don't believe there is any "may" to it. The salve for this is in an ever increasing and deepening understanding of the notion of grace. It is this mechanism/force I find abhorrently lacking in the adherents to the christian faith and has propelled its image to that of equal standing to any religion whose hallmark appears to be judgmental condemnation of "unbelievers". It is only by the presence of grace than any of us experience a taste of heaven now, or ever.
