I take that back, I just looked through my files and I see that Robin's notes are not there. Now that I think about it I think I threw them out a couple months ago. I used to have like 50 pages or something covering Vantage. But, I know who still has his original notebook and could easily copy pages for a specific area that you might be interested in.

It looks like they added 1 grade to many of the routes since the FA. No wonder the Coulee has a reputation for soft grades."They" being Jim Yoder. But it didn't happen to all routes. The older ones are more likely to be accurate.
I haven't read any of the above posts, but just saw these. Indeed, many of the rattings were lowered. I have a copy of all Bill Robbins notes/work. They very a lot with what Jim Yoder says in his guide book.
Hey MCash and Catbirdseat, where have you guys been? I stopped going to Vantage for a while and have been hitting up Tieton. I had climbed out most gear placement routes and got bored with the place. But, I have been going there a ton lately, about every other day working the harder problems that I skipped over way back when. It's a lot of fun and I haven't seen any of you guys in a long time.

I saw the smith but not the Skaha, never heard of it. Im googling it now.

THose are all great ideas, but where would you go if you were a poor boy and didn't have acess to a teleportation device.
-
Everyone goes there, but keep em' coming! I need ideas.

Lets say that you wanna get the hell out of Washington for a weekend , go some place new. Where would you go to find some good rock this time of year?

In Beckey guide there is also one on Mount Temple Ridge somewhere east of Prussik...

You may have had a different experience, but unfortunately I know from experience that they do slap paper ticket to window.
It read something along the lines of: “Expired parking pass, $66.00 ticket.”
Nice write up by the way.

Thanks for the update, we should keep this going all winter. Anytime someone heads out there, they should report back here!

YOu better not freaking touch our lines! Were building the "crag of the future." Ask cook, he told me so.

Hey, i just got them fixed. Drilled out the rusted screws and put brand spakin' new ones in. As soon as Cook moves to E-burg, were going a ton. It takes 20 minutes to drive there.
Cook:PM treknclime, Ade, Stuart, or Alpinedave and see if they are available or tell Craig to get his butt off the couch and put those sabertooth pons to some use.

Were going to deck out Umptanum Falls this winter and make a crap load of fatty ice too.
-
When Cook moves back to eburg were going to start an Ellenbug Drytool night at Umtaneum (sp?) Falls.

I like this discussion, I'm finally figuring out what I tried to in the first place. So pointless, but so interesting (to me anyways).

Where was your first picture taken. I don't ever remember anything that looks like that anywhere up there.

Everyone I know talks about the chimney, but no one seems to have done it.
I don't think those are the Three Musketeers in your picture, unless its a goofy angle. I've climbed the tallest of the three and that don't look like them. They are on the far S. side of Three Musketeers Ridge.
See...this is what i hate. Nobody knows whats what up there. (including me) I'm trying piece it all together.

Damn! That's some sweet Photoshopping, Gyslinck! Can you burn me a copy of 2.0?
Note: Deadbeatchrist must be credited for fixing my picture, due to suckbm's bad picture taking skills.

Wasn't cold?!!! The higher we got, the more windy it got. It finally got to the point that I was having trouble standing up. I left my jacket at the base of the climb which only made it worse. Lucky I had my big fuzzy fleece pants though. No rain. Talked to some guys on the way out that did the W. Ridge of Prusik, they said a bunch of parties bailed due to the wind up there. It was pretty crazy.

I think I pitched em about three months ago. I did everything I wanted and they were no longer any use to me.
(Usually my mom sorts through my trash and collects everthing I trash, but evidently she thought they were pretty useless too? )
