  1. Round River 5.4 *** on Koala Rock is a nice-n-easy multi-pitch. After rap'n down, you could stick and do some other stuff below 5.9 on the back or front sides, or head over to the Marsupials do the Cave route 5.6. It makes for a day of easy climbing with just quickdraws, a sling, and a sport anchor. The views are great. Ginger Snap, Easy Reader and the Pioneer Route on Monkey Face are others that shouldn't be intimidating. 'Course these may be beneath you according to your sport-leading ability. Good Luck. I'm a slave to the almighty dollar this weekend.
  2. Ouch! I'm awake now! My condolances to friends 'n family.
  3. Josh-Congrats! My climbing has cost me one wife (bait-n-switch) and two girlfriends (the seperate activities deal(incidentally, they both were starting to get cozy in the relationship and beginning to prefer Hagan-Das over staying thin)). However, I've got the greatest gal who DOES want to climb more and is looking forward to vacations that include climbing. Good Luck! Trask- Change the locks! Get a pet of the type of animal she hates. Get a roommate. Afraid she'll stalk you? Or just move without telling her. Do you want to go through the holidays with her? Having to buy her presents? Maybe she'll be OK with just being booty call.
  4. Thanks to Iain, wazzumountaineer, Mtn High and Picketter for the beta. I'll post the story later.
  5. The type of climbing being considered is that of a 2-person team, with crampons, ice ax and (since there's only 2 of us) unroped. We plan on leaving Jefferson Park before daylight. May have to reconsider leaning Sunday morning at zero-dark thirty in order to minimize rockfall.
  6. What are the conditions like this time of year on this route? The idea is to climb this weekend.
